Menopausal care
Menopause generally occurs after the age of 50 and is accompanied by various inconveniences which can sometimes be difficult to handle. We offer you a personalised treatment option in order to reduce these symptoms and to help you handle this stage of life with the utmost serenity.
What are the symptoms?
- Hot flushes
- Night sweats
- Mood swings
- Decreased sexual drive
- Breast atrophy
- Bone demineralisation (osteoporosis)
- Dryness of the skin and mucus of intimate areas with accentuation of genital prolapse.
What are the causes?
The menopause is brought on when the hormonal production of the ovaries (oestrogen and progesterone) comes to an end. It is defined as ‘the menopause’ one year after your last period.
How can menopause be treated?
We recommend a personalised treatment option, adapted to your specific needs and taking into account your medical history in order to thoroughly and precisely evaluate all advantages and risks. The most efficient way of treating menopausal symptoms is with hormonal substitution. However, we also use alternative methods such as bioidentical hormones, phytotherapy, dietary modifications and various lifestyle changes. Possible vitamin deficiencies are also detected and corrected. If necessary, an osteoporosis assessment may be completed.
